No. A Report on the Cause of Fire (LPK 1) can only be given to the owner/occupant/victim of the premises/vehicle involved in the fire incident.
A Report on the Cause of the Fire (LPK 1) will be issued within 14 days from the date the fire investigation begins.
Yes. A witness who fails to appear to give an oral statement or provide information relating to a fire is an offence under Section 18A of the Fire Services Act 1988 (Act 341). If convicted, the individual may be fined one thousand ringgit (RM1000.00)
Compound payments can be made in cash or using postal money, cheque or bank draft. Cash payments can be made at the Headquarters, Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), state or zone JBPM. Meanwhile, if payment is made using postal money, cheque or bank draft, it must be addressed to the Director General, Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department.
