27.11.2023: The Operations Center (PGO), Johor State Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 11.01 pm regarding a factory fire that occurred at the Cushion Furniture Factory, Kd Parit Ulu, Bakri, Muar, Johor.

A fire brigade from BBP Muar and assisted by BBP Pagoh with a strength of 24 personnel were dispatched to the location of the incident.

Operations Commander, PBK II Heza bin Aris reported that a permanent furniture factory measuring 100×80 square feet had caught fire at 90%.

The fire brigade fought the fire using water from machinery and transport pumps using nearby open water sources until it was finished.

The operation did not involve any injuries or casualties. The cause of the fire and estimated losses are still under investigation. The operation ended at 1.30 am, 28 November 2023.
