TRAINING SECTION
Vision

To be the main driver in producing skilled and high-performing fire officers and fire safety professionals.

Mission

To provide and develop systematic and comprehensive firefighting training programs and management in order to produce competent and professional human resources.

Objective
  • Plan and prepare a systematic firefighting training program.
  • Generate competent & professional human resources in the field of fire and rescue services.
  • Manage comprehensive human resource development & career progression in the field of fire & rescue services.
  • Improve awareness, understanding & practice of fire safety overall.
  • To become a reference center for excellence in firefighting training and regional fire safety.
Customer Charter
  • Issuing a Course Needs Analysis Report within one month after the completion of the study.
  • Plan and develop the Annual Training Program Plan according to core service needs one month before the start of the fiscal year.
  • Submit the Annual Training Program to divisions, academies and states within two weeks after approval by the Ministry's Training Committee.
  • Respond to any inquiries and correspondence within five days from the date of receipt.
  • Produce a Training Effectiveness Report within one month after the completion of the evaluation study.
  • Plan and implement a minimum seven-day course program per year for each department staff to meet the demands of the Public Service Department.
Function
  • Coordinate courses / seminars / training conducted at the Academy
  • Planning and preparing programs with the Academy
  • Monitor financial management at the Academy
  • Monitor administrative management at the Academy
  • Evaluate and monitor programs at the Academy
  • Obtaining and evaluating course/seminar/training data at the Academy
  • Provide uniform policies and uniform team ceremonies
  • Provide guidelines and instructions for wearing uniforms
  • Monitor the wearing of uniforms with regulations
  • Advising on ceremonial matters and uniforms
  • Collect and analyze information on fire officer training needs
  • Formulate and evaluate Department policies
  • Managing the curriculum of a course at the Academy
  • Develop and conduct research on appropriate and up-to-date courses and training
  • Planning and developing the Department's human resources in terms of training
  • Obtain training opportunities outside the Department, abroad, advanced degrees and organized by the private sector. Responsible as the secretariat of the Department Training Committee meetings.
  • Responsible as the secretariat of the postgraduate course interview panel
  • Formulate and advise on careers in the Department
  • Provide guidance on accrediting a department's special team. Assess the expertise and competence of special teams from time to time.
  • Provide guidance and evaluate the expertise and professionalism of a team, department functions and fire officers.
  • Provide standards of expertise and professionalism for fire fighters
