The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) has organized the 2025 Firefighting Industry Leading Body (ILB) Seminar at the Civic Hall, Bintulu.

The opening ceremony was officiated by YB Datuk Amar Dr. Sim Kui Hian, Deputy Premier of Sarawak and Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government. Also present were YAS Dato' Ir. Ts. Ahmad Izram bin Osman, Deputy Director General of JBPM and YS PKPjB Jamri bin Masran, Director of JBPM of Sarawak.

This seminar brings together participants consisting of industry representatives, government agencies, security professionals, facility operators and premises managers. The aim of this event is to:

i. Delivering the latest information regarding firefighting policies and directions as a technical training field under ILB.

ii. Increase awareness and understanding of fire safety management at the organizational level.

iii. Strengthen cooperation between JBPM and industry in an effort to strengthen fire safety systems in the workplace.

iv. To be a platform for sharing challenges, best practices and innovative initiatives in fire management.
