The program, in collaboration with the Office of the P208 Sarikei Member of Parliament and the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department, was completed by YS PKPjB Jamri Masran, Director of Sarawak Fire.

Also present were the Sarikei Division Resident, representatives from the Sarikei District Office, Meradong KPD, Sarikei KPD representatives and representatives from other government agencies.

This campaign was attended by 16 nearby longhouses with a total of 80 participants. The activities carried out were:

1. Establishment of 16 community fire brigades

2. Suri literacy program

3. Firefighting lectures and demonstrations

4. Emergency care talk.

Portable fire extinguishers were also distributed to 16 longhouse residents.
