The 8th Charity Run with Miri Fire Department in 2025 was held successfully and received a very encouraging response from various levels of Miri society.
This program not only achieved its main objective of raising charity funds for PPDK Sunflower Miri, but also succeeded in cultivating public awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle and fire safety with the slogan “Building a Fire Resilient Community”.
With the collaboration between PESKEBS and the Miri Zone 6 Firefighters Recreation & Welfare Club, this program successfully gathered 1,820 attendees including participants from Brunei, Indonesia, China and Ghana involving 4 categories and a Fun Run. The encouraging participation from participants of various ages as well as strong support from government agencies, the private sector and NGOs proved the high spirit of cooperation in making this event a success.
Apart from the running activities, various interesting activities such as safety exhibitions, fire engines, kitchen fire extinguishing demonstrations (SURI), and exhibition booths from various agencies have also added value to the organization of this program.
Thousands of thanks are expressed to the main pillars of PESKEBS, namely YS PKPjB Jamri bin Masran, PgKBI Ahmad Nizam b Sapiee, PgKBI Ismaidi Ismail, as well as all the main committee members and zone and station committee members who were directly or indirectly involved for providing solid support from the beginning until the program was successfully organized.
